The official part of a Georgian company is cheap: GEL 200 to the registry, or GEL 400 for same-day registration. Everything around it costs more than the registration itself: the agency package, the documents prepared abroad, the legal address and the monthly accounting.
This guide separates what the state charges from what the market charges, gives a first-year budget, and flags two figures that circulate online but do not belong to Georgia the country.
Official fees: what the state charges
The National Agency of Public Registry publishes one schedule. The lines a founder meets are these:
| Service | Standard | Faster |
|---|---|---|
| Register a company (LLC, JSC, partnership) | GEL 200, one working day | GEL 400, same day |
| Register an individual entrepreneur | GEL 26 | GEL 75 |
| Change identification data | Free | GEL 75 |
| Registry extract requested online | GEL 13, one working day | GEL 52, same day |
| English version of an extract | plus GEL 26 | |
| Certification of a signature at the registry | GEL 7 |
There is no annual registry fee. The schedule lists none, and agencies confirm that a Georgian registration has no renewal charge.
Two figures that do not belong to Georgia
Search "Georgia LLC cost" in English and most results describe the American state of Georgia. Its figures then leak into guides about the country.
- "GEL 50 annual registration before 1 April." The American state charges an annual registration of around USD 50 to 60, due by 1 April. Georgian law has no equivalent.
- "Registered agent, about USD 125 a year." Also American. A Georgian company needs a legal address, not a registered agent.
- "GEL 100 to register." This was a temporary rate, from 9 to 20 March 2026, for existing companies updating their data. A new registration costs GEL 200 or GEL 400.

Market prices: what agencies charge
Most foreign founders use a local provider. Published prices in Tbilisi in 2026 fall in a narrow band.
| Item | Published price | What it usually covers |
|---|---|---|
| LLC package, individual owners | GEL 1,200 to 1,500 | Registry fee, bilingual charter, filing, tax account set-up |
| LLC owned by a foreign company | GEL 2,755 | Same, plus review of the parent's apostilled and translated papers |
| Remote registration | plus 50% on the package | Coordination of documents signed abroad |
| Legal address | GEL 390 a year plus VAT | Address and owner's consent, no public display |
| Virtual office with mail | GEL 800 a year plus VAT | Address plus mail handling |
| Monthly accounting | from GEL 180 a month | Monthly declarations, bookkeeping |
| Tax advice | about GEL 250 an hour | One-off questions |
Read the packages carefully. The cheapest often exclude the legal address, which is mandatory, and none of them include what you pay abroad.
Costs you pay abroad
These are the costs nobody in Tbilisi can quote, because they arise in your own country.
- Notarisation of the power of attorney or of the charter signatures.
- Apostille or legalisation, depending on whether your country is party to the Hague Convention.
- Translation into Georgian, usually certified by a notary in Georgia.
- For a corporate shareholder: a fresh registry extract and statute of the parent, certified the same way.
- Courier of the originals, if the provider needs them.
The amounts vary widely by country. Ask your notary for the apostille price before you sign, and ask the Georgian provider whether they will accept a translation done abroad.
A first-year budget
Three profiles, using the lower end of published market prices and the official registry fee. These are orders of magnitude, not quotes.
| Line | Solo founder, individual owner, remote | Founder with foreign parent company | Individual entrepreneur on 1% |
|---|---|---|---|
| Registration | GEL 1,200 to 1,500, plus 50% remote | GEL 2,755, plus 50% remote | Registry fee GEL 26 plus provider time |
| Legal address | GEL 390 plus VAT | GEL 390 plus VAT | Often your own address |
| Accounting | from GEL 180 a month | from GEL 180 a month | Monthly 1% declarations, lighter work |
| Costs abroad | Notary, apostille, translation | Same, plus parent's documents | Usually none if registered in person |
What drives the total up:
- Remote registration, which adds roughly half to the package.
- A corporate shareholder, which adds document review and certification.
- VAT registration, which brings monthly VAT returns and more accounting work.
- Employees, which bring payroll and withholding every month.
- A bespoke charter with investor clauses, instead of the standard one.
The annual running cost
Once registered, a Georgian company has no renewal fee. What it has is a monthly rhythm.
- Tax declarations, usually monthly once there is payroll, withholding or VAT, filed through your accountant.
- Accounting, from GEL 180 a month at published prices, more with VAT, payroll or many transactions.
- The legal address, renewed each year.
- Bank fees, which vary by bank and profile.
- Profit tax, due only when you distribute: 15% at company level, then 5% on the dividend, covered in the corporate tax guide.
The filing calendar is in the compliance guide.
Ways to keep the cost down
- Use the standard charter if you have one owner or two partners with simple rights.
- Register in person if you are travelling to Georgia anyway: no apostille chain, no remote surcharge.
- Do not register for VAT early unless your activity requires it.
- Check whether you need a company at all. An eligible solo service provider may be better off as an individual entrepreneur, as explained in the company types guide.
- Ask what the package excludes. Address, translation and bank introduction are the usual extras.
The bottom line
The Georgian state charges GEL 200 for a company and nothing to keep it on the register. The real budget is the provider package, the costs of preparing documents abroad, a legal address and twelve months of accounting. For a remote founder with individual owners, that is a few thousand lari in the first year, most of it accounting.
corpsec quotes Georgian registration as a package that names what is included: registry fee, charter, filing and registered office. Ask for a Georgia quote, or check the order of steps in how to register a company in Georgia.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to register a company in Georgia?
The official registry fee is GEL 200 for registration in one working day, or GEL 400 for same-day registration. With a provider, published packages for an LLC owned by individuals run from about GEL 1,200 to GEL 1,500, before the legal address and costs abroad.
Is there an annual fee to keep a Georgian company registered?
No. The National Agency of Public Registry schedule lists no annual registration or renewal fee for companies. Annual costs come from accounting, the legal address and bank fees.
Why do some guides say a Georgian LLC costs USD 100 and USD 50 a year?
Those figures belong to the American state of Georgia, whose online results dominate English searches. The country of Georgia charges GEL 200 or GEL 400 to register and has no annual registration fee.
How much does accounting cost for a Georgian company?
Published prices start around GEL 180 a month for a small company. VAT registration, payroll and high transaction volumes raise the price.

Yes, every company needs a legal address in Georgia. Providers publish prices from about GEL 390 a year plus VAT, more with mail handling.
Is it cheaper to register as an individual entrepreneur?

Is there a minimum capital to pay into a Georgian LLC?
No. A limited liability company has no minimum capital. A joint-stock company needs GEL 100,000.
